How does misting work?
Custom misting systems utilize pumps that generate enough pressure to send water through a series of well-placed pipes and tubes. The highly pressurized water then sprays out through specialized nozzles creating a fine mist spray. The finer the spray of mist, the quicker the water will evaporate, creating a gentle cooling sensation. Fans can be used to extend and direct the reach of the spray. With the proper equipment, the fog of tiny water droplets created by a misting system evaporates quickly, easily cooling the air by at least 10 degrees. Using misting fans, the surrounding area can cool by up to 25 or 30 degrees.
